What is Free To Air?

Free To Air satellite is a term used to describe satellite signals which a person can legally receive -- without a subscription.

Unlike satellite television programming which requires a subscription, such as DirecTV or DISH Network, Free To Air satellite channels are not encrypted. A Free To Air satellite receiver and the proper dish are all that is needed to receive Free TV.
